Ultratug and MAHI have been awarded the Innovation of the Year at the prestigious ITS Awards 2025. The award recognizes their groundbreaking collaboration on remote tugboat operations, implemented aboard the 32-meter tugboat ENCO.

This joint achievement celebrates a shared commitment to enhancing maritime safety, efficiency and technological advancement. Ultratug’s operational expertise and MAHI’s maritime technology came together to enable the successful remote navigation of the ENCO from a newly established Remote Operation Center in Viña del Mar, Chile.

The solution is built around MAHI’s integrated MAHI Sense system, which connects with the vessel’s main engines, thrusters, radar and other critical onboard navigation systems. Complemented by advanced cameras and a high-speed connection, the system provides vessel masters with full situational awareness and control, allowing experienced operators to monitor and guide the vessel remotely, with the same precision as onboard navigation.
